ABOUT THE PROPERTY

Comfort, style, convenience.

 

Trelawney is an 1880 stone built property with original features and a recent extension, situated in the heart of Tweentown, one of the oldest areas in Cheddar and at the mouth of the Gorge. The house will offer you exceptional space to relax and wind down from your day exploring.

 

You will find a well-equipped large open plan kitchen/dinning room where you can enjoy the space to cook or sit down and socialise around a hefty oak table, rescued from a local somerset dairy. 

 

There is a good size lounge with a large TV (Netflix included) and huge L shape sofa with space to fit everyone. You can join the space in the lounge to the garden and patio using the south facing bi-fold doors, which let in sunshine even on winter days.

 

You have lots of space outside to relax on sunny days, with the benefit of sunshine all day. There is a good size garden with patio and a covered decking again with a large table and chairs. 

 

Upstairs are two king size suites, a large family bathroom andone bedroom with bunk beds for children.

 

The master king suite is suited in the modern end of the house where you will benefit from a shower en-suite. The second king suite is a good size room in the original part of the house with Victorian features such as pine floors and fireplace.

 

There is parking on the private drive and all around the property, but you will be unlikely to need your car. Trelawney faces the front door to the most exceptional delicatessen, handy for your morning croissants or treats. All the local shops, pubs and restaurants are within walking distance, and a 3 minute walk to the mouth of the gorge.

 

Cheddar is within 20 minutes of the M5 via Weston Super Mare or Burnham on Sea and 30 minutes to South Bristol. The village is surrounded by the beautiful Mendip Hills, famous for any type of adventures, including the famous Gorge walk or cycling, all which you can do from the door. The village is also faced by the Somerset levels, excellent for wildlife including Starling murmuration from Nov-Feb or if you’re lucky a sighting of a the majestic marsh harrier from one of the many hides on Westhay.
